Yarrow Organic Herbal Topical Salve
Legend has it that yarrow (Achillea millefolium) was named after Achilles, the Greek mythical hero who used it to stop bleeding in wounded soldiers! This salve is perfect in a first-aid kit, or just to have on hand for small wounds.
Ingredients: yarrow, vitamin e oil, shea butter, arrowroot powder, evoo, castor oil, beeswax, lavender essential oil
Directions: apply to clean, dry wound.
Yarrow works by forming a protective covering over the wound and stimulates blood platelets and leukocytes. Yarrow salve can be applied to small cuts and wounds to help staunch bleeding. This salve is gentle enough to use on diaper rash, razor rash, soothe eczema, all while reducing inflammation and fighting bacteria. It’s anti-inflammatory and astringent properties may help to reduce varicose vein swelling.
