Cats Claw is an excellent herb for regulating the digestive tract. Its anti-inflammatory properties are soothing for the stomach and also for joint and muscle pain. It has anti-microbial properties than can help address infectious issues in the gut. Cats claw is rich in anti-oxidants, which help boost the immune system. Specifically indicated for ulcers, Crohn’s, gastritis, and irritable bowel syndrome.
Marshmallow Root promotes mucosal secretions in the body, which can help to soothe an inflamed digestive system. Marshmallow is very gentle and nourishing.
Angelica, sometimes referred to as the ‘female ginseng’, is often used as a multipurpose tonic herb. It regulates poor digestion, eases colic, painful gas and intestinal cramps. It’s also useful for regulating menstruation and hormones, and can be used to uplift your mood.
Fennel is an excellent remedy for colic, indigestion, and diarrhea. It stimulates digestion and reduces intestinal gas.
Ginger is the ultimate digestive tonic herb! It’s recently shown promise in reducing migraine headache pain, as it contains anti-inflammatory properties that restrict blood vessels in the brain.
Honey contains antioxidants that can help to fight off free radicals that contribute to acid reflux. It has anti-bacterial properties that can ease inflammation caused by bad bacteria in the GI system, and may also shorten the duration of bacterial diarrhea. Not to mention, it’s delicious!
